Come cheer on our Bristol Girls Little League 12U Softball Team!

Dear BPS Community:
Congratulations to our incredible Bristol Girls Little League 12U Softball team on winning the Connecticut State Championship! We are so proud of these outstanding student-athletes for their hard work, determination, and teamwork.
This historic achievement means Bristol will, for the first time, host a hometown team in the Little League Softball East Region Tournament at the Giamatti Sports Complex on Mix Street.
I encourage our Bristol Public Schools families, staff, students, and community members to come out and show their support for these amazing girls throughout the tournament. Their first game is currently scheduled for Sunday at 4:00 p.m. (subject to change due to weather). Let's fill the stands and give our hometown team the warm welcome and enthusiastic support they deserve!
The community is also invited to come out and cheer the girls on as they arrive in town for the Eastern Regional Tournament.
This Friday morning, the girls will board a bus donated by Dattco and will then receive a police and fire escort from Rockwell Park between 8:00 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. The caravan will travel on Park St, to North Main St, to Rt 6, then Burlington Ave onto Maple Ave, arriving at the Giamatti Sports Complex on Mix Street around 8:30am.
Whether you line the parade route or join us at the ballpark, your encouragement will make a lasting impression on these talented young athletes as they represent Bristol, Connecticut, and our community on the regional stage.
